In 1760 the construction of this rural pazo hotel began, with stones from a nearby fortress erected in the 10th century, of which only a tower remains today. History led to this building becoming the seat of the first Town Hall in Galicia. Nowadays, it has been converted into an active tourist establishment for several years and offers many possibilities for exploitation. Located 5 km from Celanova, with its more than 5,000 inhabitants and all services, it is only 9 kilometres from the border with Portugal. And the international airport of Vigo can be reached in 80 minutes by road. The city of Orense is 30 minutes away from the pazo. In this area, every stone tells the story of Galicia’s past and offers a promising future for a well-oriented tourism business.

Stone, wood… nature. A winning combination

This magnificent rural pazo hotel has a two-volume, two-storey building. Built in stone, with a tiled roof, it has a useful surface area of 275 m2. It has a capacity of 18 beds in rooms of different sizes.

It also has a bar-lounge area: La Fortaleza canteen, which includes the reception area, bar, a good number of tables and several areas furnished with comfortable armchairs and side tables for relaxing or chatting comfortably. All in a cosy and comfortable atmosphere, decorated in traditional Galician style.

The pazo rural hotel is accessed through an impressive entrance, integrated into the thick stone wall that surrounds the property and crowned by a coat of arms. Within these walls, there are several outbuildings which are described below.

The business potential of this rural pazo hotel is enormous.

This pazo hotel sits on a walled area of approximately 3,000 m2. The first thing that catches the eye is its stone and tile chapel, in the middle of the meadow. It has a surface area of 18 m2 and is prepared to hold civil ceremonies. And religious ceremonies by prior agreement with the ecclesiastical representatives.

A short distance away, as a contrast, there is a 24 m2 swimming pool protected by a security gate. There is also a stone horreo of 8 m2, the typical Galician granary, built in stone and which can be accessed to sit and enjoy the stunning views. By the way, this pazo hotel has a viewpoint near the main entrance, from which you can enjoy the view of the wonderful native forests that surround the property.

For the celebration of events, banquets and other meetings, we have a separate space, on one side of the garden, of 50 m2. This room is heated by an oil boiler, as is the rest of the property.

We also find in this beautiful garden, which has automatic sprinkler irrigation, a well that can supply water to the whole property.
