It’s a working business. There is capacity for 15/25 guests. Facilities in perfect condition: swimming pool with meadows, wine cellar, industrial kitchen, private dining room in the garden…  A private house for the owners. Or to offer… A small orchard, fruit trees and even a forest. It does not need any kind of rehabilitation. And it is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Pontevedra, just over 30 minutes from the best beaches and right on the border with Portugal: the Miño River. In Arbo’s rural hotel, peace and quiet are integrated into the landscape, inviting you to relax. And when you go inside, the feeling continues: simple and comfortable. Its eight rooms, all double and one triple, are spacious and allow, if you want, to spend time without leaving them. All of them have an integrated bathroom. And the double rooms allow you to install an extra bed.

The common areas are pleasant and spacious. The dining room, with a large capacity, is bright. Through its large windows you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Miño Valley and the Portuguese Serra da Peneda emerging from a carpet of vineyards. And on cold days, its fireplace warms the atmosphere. There is also a library and a games room, which offer the same atmosphere as the whole complex: light, tranquillity and relaxation. There is even a fully equipped massage and exercise room. In these common areas there are also two more bathrooms.

The industrial kitchen of this rural hotel in Arbo is fully equipped. It prepares all kinds of dishes of the most traditional Galician and international cuisine. We can emphasize the authentic free-range chicken, the San Fins goat, and the typical dish of the area: the lamprey, prepared in up to seven different ways, which is raised in the cetarias of the property. A delicacy. White wine from our own vineyards is also served, which does not envy the best of the Rías Baixas D.O., where we are located.

An independent wooden house

Approximately, 60 m2. With three bedrooms, a kitchen/dining room, and a bathroom. Currently used as the owners’ home. You can keep this use or transform it into an exclusive apartment for people who require absolute privacy. It is also very comfortable and has the same features as the big house, with heating and all services.

But there is also another “house” inside the property. It is a magnificent hórreo (the typical Galician granary) made of stone, exceptionally well preserved, with unusual dimensions. It is situated in the parking area, right next to the swimming pool.

A splendid and sunny swimming pool, 13X6 m, surrounded by meadows and hedges for comfort and isolation from the rest. A large stone cellar, full of opportunities for the palate. There you can taste the best wines from a privileged wine area, such as the Rías Baixas DO and the nearby Portuguese ones. A private dining room located outside the main building, with ample capacity. It combines stone and wood and has a long table with benches to sit at, in the most traditional Galician style. There you can cook all kinds of meat and fish on the grill. It has a fridge, to have everything at hand, and a cupboard. And incomparable views, like all the corners of this rural hotel in Arbo. There is also a small vegetable garden, for internal consumption. Several warehouses, which appearance do not differ from the rest of the property, are used to keep the swimming pool and garden tools, as well as the furniture in disuse.

The property is located in a land of 5,400 sqm with gardens, fruit trees and a small forest. And if we look inside, we find perfectly equipped rooms, with television, telephone, internet access, extra beds, etc. Let’s not forget that all the furniture is included in the price of the property.

As for the activities that can be done in the surroundings, there are plenty of them. From approaching the beaches of the Ría de Vigo, a little more than 30 minutes away, to shopping on the other side of the border: almost a sport in the area. Not forgetting hiking, golf in the Vigo area, 45 minutes from Arbo, and even horse riding, which can be practised just a short distance from the property.

Arbo, on the border and close to everything

From this rural hotel in Arbo to the A-52 highway (Rias Bajas highway) you spend 20 minutes, by a new road in perfect conditions.

Vigo International Airport is 30 minutes away from the property.  Santiago de Compostela is an hour and a half away. The city of Vigo is 45 minutes away. Pontevedra and its old town at one hour. The Atlantic Islands Park (Cies, Ons, etc.) at 45 minutes. The mouth of the river Miño, A Guardia and Bayona at one hour. The Santa Tecla mountain with its archaeological site and its castreña (the ancient residents of Galician before Romans came) constructions at one hour. Serra de Peneda-Xeres (Portugal) at one hour. The golf course of Domaio at 45 minutes. And several places in the north of Portugal (Melgaço, Monçao, Valença do Miño, Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima, etc.) at half an hour.
