Just 3.5 km from the best beaches of the Rias Bajas, in Boiro, A Coruña, you will find this rural hotel. Its location, between the Sierra de Barbanza and the Ria de Arousa, gives it a special attraction in one of the most attractive areas of Galicia.

This charming rural hotel has as its hallmark a cruceiro, the traditional stone cross found on so many roads in Galicia.  Despite its appearance as a traditional rustic stone house, it has all the comforts of a modern home.

It is located on the Camino de Santiago del Mar de Arousa and Rio Ulla and the Camiño de Santiago no Barbanza (A Orixe), which converge with the Portuguese Camino de Santiago of the Coast, increasingly used by pilgrims, in Padrón, 28 km from the hotel.

In 2018, this rural hotel obtained the “Traveller Review Awards 2018” rating for having one of the highest scores on booking.com. In 2019 and 2020 it has also obtained the “Guest Review Awards 2020” and “Guest Review Awards 2021” with scores of 9.2 out of 10.

The rural hotel O Cruceiro has a living area of more than 520 m2 on two floors.  It can accommodate between 8 and 12 guests. It has four double rooms. Three of them with two beds of 90×190 cm. and one with a double bed of 135×190 cm. All of them with individual bathroom with shower.

 

It also has a suite of 46 m2 in the attic, with a double bed of 150×190 cm plus a sitting area with 2 armchairs and a sofa bed of 150×190 cm. It has an individual toilet with shower, study table and bookcase.

 

All the materials are of the highest quality. This rural hotel combines the tradition of Galician country houses with the most modern systems to become a tourist establishment adapted to modern times. And to the tastes of the most demanding clients.  This is demonstrated by the large number of bookings/occupations that are regularly registered throughout the year.

 

In addition to the building, the property has a terrace, garden, barbecue and a private parking in an adjacent property. The property is sold furnished, except for antiques and personal valuables.

With more than 18,000 inhabitants, Boiro offers all the services of a small town in a very attractive area of Galicia. It is 45 minutes from Santiago de Compostela and one hour from Vigo. Both have international airports. The attractions of the region are countless. The golf course “Barbanza Golf Pìtch&Putt” is 3 km away. Two marinas are within walking distance: the marina of Escarabote at 2 km, and at 3 km the marina of Cabo da Cruz. You can also visit the Dune of Corrubedo (23 km), the ancient Celtic settlement of Castro de Baroña (30 km), the viewpoint of A Curota (12 km), the waterfall of Cadarnoxo (2 km) and the viewpoint of A Figueira at 5 km… And, of course, the best beaches of the Ría de Arousa.
